Education
I attended high school in Tokyo, Japan and Dayton, Ohio. I went on to attend the U.S. Naval Academy from 1971-1973.

I obtained my under-graduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1975, Phi Beta Kappa with highest honors. I then attended U.T. Law School, graduating with honors in 1978.

In 1982 I went back to school and received an LLM degree in International Law from Cambridge University in England.

Practice
From 1978 through 1991 I worked at a variety of large national law firms in Houston, San Diego and Dallas. In 1991, I struck out on my own and started the firm, which is now Bellinger & DeWolf, LLP.

During the almost twenty-six years that I have been practicing law, I have been fortunate enough to try cases in both state and federal courts around Texas, as well as handling appeals. I am licensed to practice in both Texas and California.

The cases that I have handled have been varied. They have ranged from personal injury and employment issues to commercial disputes and civil rights matters. The cases have ranged from relatively small amounts in controversy to significantly complex matters. In addition, I have participated in mediations and arbitrations.

Public Appearances
I have been the Fox 4 legal commentator on the Good Day morning show for over three years now (www.kdfwfox4.com). In addition, I have been interviewed a number of times by TV, radio and newspapers throughout Texas over the last five years. These include all of the major networks, Court TV, the Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star Telegram, Texas Lawyer, National Public Radio and WBAP.

In addition, I have written three editorials for the Dallas Morning News (www.dallasnews.com). I have also been asked to speak on various topics by the University of North Texas, the University of Texas Graduate School, Southern Methodist University, the Texas Police Chiefs Association and the State Bar of Texas.
